Objective of Training programme is to provide fundamental concepts of
routine and advanced techniques in analytical techniques, thorough
practical experience in performing analysis and information regarding
standard specifications, statutory requirements .
Fresh graduates and postgraduates either employed or unemployed may
apply. Programme is designed to prepare the trainees in their ability to
perform various testing methods with confidence.
The present training programme are conducted through lectures and
practical hands-on training in the laboratory. The theory lectures l cover the
basic principles of analytical procedures and techniques commonly used to
provide information about the chemical composition, structure and physical
properties of food materials, food microbiology and packaging. The hands-on
laboratory practical classes prepare the students through experience in
performing food analysis experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions
and reporting their findings. In addition, students will be expected to work in
teams on a special project where they will identify and critically assess the
most appropriate analytical methods for analyzing the properties of a
particular food product.
The training l includes laboratory orientations by Senior faculty/Research
Scientists from Ganesh Scientific Research Foundation, Ayurvet Ltd., Progen
Biolab and other associated institutions. The trainees are provided with
useful easy-to-comprehend study materials for regular and advanced
method of analysis, preliminary knowledge about Indian and International
food standards ( Food Safety and Standards Authority of India , PFA,
AGMARK, BIS, CODEX etc.) range of important characteristics for specific
items, testing manuals, ISO/NABL/BIS certification, etc.
